Description

This is an episode that I consider to be a surprise bomb, meaning that I didn't expect to hate it as much as I did. I kept up with Pahkitew Island as it was airing in Italy and when I heard about the major details in this one (Jasmine & Sky being Unintentionally Unsympathetic and Topher's painfully obvious elimination) I could tell that I probably wasn't going to like it. But I was surprised to discover that it sucked far more when I finally did see it in English to the point where I considered it the worst episode to air that night (this episode and This is the Pits! were both aired back-to-back).

Cringe-Inducing Audio
(3/10): I'll admit that Dave's whining here did get a little on my nerves.

Cringe-Inducing Visuals (5/10): Just anything showing the babies in danger.

Lackluster Writing (9/10): This episode considers what I call the Laurie tropes which are annoying tropes that are rampant in most of her episodes. Said tropes are:
1. Massive character derailment
2. Heavy amounts of cruelty to one (or more) specific character.

Annoyance (10/10): For incorporating the Laurie tropes as mentioned above as well as trying to play what causes Topher's blatantly obvious elimination as a twist.

Unnecessary Cruelty (9.5/10): For how Dave is treated throughout but most of it is for everything involving the babies especially being brought in tied from hot air balloons and then DROPPED FROM WHO KNOWS HOW HIGH UP FORCING EVERYONE TO CATCH THEM!! Sky was right when she said 'This SHOULDN'T be legal!'.

Low Production Values (6/10): This is most of the reason why Topher's elimination doesn't work. For starters, everyone could see Chris' eyes behind those sunglasses when he was calling Topher plus Christian Potenza didn't even fucking try to disguise his voice making it that much more painfully obvious.

Character Derailment (8/10): This is one of those episodes in which almost everyone is unlikable mostly unintentionally. Jasmine & Sky are both very Unintentionally Unsympathetic due to Jasmine feeding bad advice to Sky that Dave has to suffer for as well as Sky being a total hypocrite for playing dirty when several episodes before it was established that she couldn't stand foul play. The only character that isn't derailed or unsympathetic is Scarlett.

Who thought it was a good idea to let babies onto that show in the first place? I mean, if they were electronic babies (which would have done the purpose just as well, let's be honest, since they just needed to cry), then it wouldn't be an issue, but these are obviously supposed to be real infants that they're putting in potentially life-threatening situations.
